Your agency’s HHA’s, Juliette, Felicia, and Dawn, instinctively followed his example in caring for him during his last months of life. His passage from this life was made as comfortable as it could possibly be by their compassionate presence and understanding care. Your careful management of the HHAs’ services, and patience in enabling them to work in difficult circumstances, is also commendable. I am most grateful to Juliette for her help, not least for her staying three full days during Hurricane Sandy, but also for her wisdom and common-sense, for which I have the highest regard and respect.”

Our child was getting married in Manhattan, and we live in CT. We wanted my mom, who has major mobility issues, to come to the wedding. It was going to be a weekend thing, with events spanning several days. Totally stressed, I spoke with Carla, explained the situation, and she told me that I didn’t have to worry any longer; she would find someone I could count on so that my mom, my husband and i could enjoy this important milestone. Carla came through with flying colors. The home health aide sent for my mom was competent, reliable and had a lovely personality. She took initiative when necessary, and was a pleasure to have in our midst. I had total confidence in her. She accompanied Mom to various events happening at the hotel and off-site, including into and out of a hired car service at midnight after the reception (while my husband and I remained at the reception). I will contact Carla again when we return to NYC for our next son’s wedding!”

I have now used Select Care twice to care for elderly friends and both times I was very satisfied. Most recently, an aide named Samantha Evans provided care and companionship for an 89-year-old dear friend of ours. We found her not only efficient and honest, but most of all, kind and compassionate. She is a delightful and intelligent young woman with excellent judgment and a sweet disposition. We cannot recommend her highly enough. Anybody would be blessed to have her as a care giver. Kudos to Select Care for providing an aide of this calibre.”
